‘Feature Film Versus TV’

Some aspects of feature film and TV Production are similar but TV production is an ongoing episodic event where film has a start and finish project date.

As well, feature films are commercial free, whereas TV gets a large percentage of income from commercials.

Everything from budget to responsibilities for producers, directors and crew are different.

In TV there are almost no gaps in the dialogue so screenwriters have to write differently then they do with a film feature.

It has been said by some professionals that, in general, it is much easier to make a career change from TV to Film then from Film to TV.
